Certification & Licensing

To get a forklift license in Western Australia , you must:

1. Enroll in a high-risk work training course with a registered training organisation (RTO).
2. Complete the theoretical and practical assessments successfully.
3. Receive a nationally recognised Statement of Attainment and a 60-day interim licence (NOA).
4. Lodge your application with WorkSafe WA, which mails your high-risk licence to your address.

Course Type & Duration

We offer flexible training options to suit your experience and needs:

1. Full Licensing Course (2–3 days) Ideal for new operators, includes theory, practical training, and assessments.
2. Express Licensing Course (1–2 days) For experienced operators needing certification, with streamlined training and assessments.
3. Forklift Refresher Course (1 day) Updates on safety and practical skills, ideal for maintaining compliance.
4. Verification of Competence (Half-day) Practical assessment only. For operators requiring reassessment to meet workplace compliance.

Course Overview

Our forklift training course provides comprehensive skills and knowledge to safely operate a forklift truck.  Delivered onsite or workplace-based only, this training is designed to meet state-specific high-risk work requirements. The course covers safety protocols, hazard identification, load handling, and best practices. This ensures practical, real-world learning in your work environment.

• Onsite delivery for groups with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 participants.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to:

• Plan the Work or Task: Assess equipment suitability, identify hazards, and ensure safety requirements are met.
• Prepare for Work: Conduct routine equipment checks, complete necessary documentation, and ensure the forklift is safe to operate.
• Perform the Task: Safely lift, transport, and position loads loads in accordance with best practice procedures.
• Pack Up: Shut down and secure the forklift according to workplace and regulatory standards.
