TASMANIA Forklift Training

Our forklift training course provides comprehensive skills and knowledge to safely operate a forklift truck. This training is designed to meet state-specific high-risk work requirements. The course covers safety protocols, hazard identification, load handling, and best practices. This ensures practical, real-world learning in your work environment.

• For small groups with a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 6 participants.
• Onsite workplace delivery only.

Certification & Licensing

To get a forklift license in Tasmania, you must:

1. Complete a recognised training course with a registered training organisation (RTO).
2. Obtain an interim High Risk Forklift Licence.
3. Lodge your licence application at a Service Tasmania outlet within 60 days.
4. Pay the prescribed fee and have your photograph taken.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, you will be able to:

• Plan the Work or Task: Assess equipment suitability, identify hazards, and ensure safety requirements are met.
• Perform the Task: Safely lift, transport, and position loads.
• Pack Up: Shut down and secure the forklift according to workplace and regulatory standards.

   3. Forklift Refresher Course (Up to 1 day)
      • Updates on safety and practical skills, ideal for maintaining compliance.
   4. Verification of Competence (Up to 1 day)
      • Practical assessment only, for experienced operators requiring certification renewal.
